Retrospective Season 2 Rides Season 1 Rides Cryodrome Relay Audio Back to Main PageMarch 21, 2026
The final Cryodrome for the forseeable future. Thank you to all the Cryonauts that came out to ride this winter. And congratulations to all that earned prizes over the course of the season. We finished this iteration of Cryodrome with a ride to Gemut to celebrate. I am grateful to everyone that has ever been involved in Cryodrome for making it so fun.

A quick one today out to Qahwah Coffee and then to the Commons. Just nice to spend the last couple weeks of winter together. Unfortunately the normal camera would not stay on long enough for me to take this pic.

We expected much worse weather today, but we had a great time visiting a friend at work, and playing I Spy with pollution in the river.

What a beautiful day to meander and go to a cafe we'd never gone to before.

A cold snap mid ride. We set out for Global Gallery in the sun but by the time we arrived it was much colder than we expected. We milled around for a while before taking the scenic route back.

The largest gathering of cryonauts ever. We rode to Yawning Bear, but found they were closed. Our next stop was Upper Cup, then to a house with a huge unicorn on the porch. Finally we parted ways at Schiller Park.

This Cryodrome we celebrate the birthday of one of our Cryonauts by going to Bada Bean Bada Booze, paid for by another Cryonaut not in attendance this week. Had to finally get a photo in front of these bike rim decorations we always pass.

Cryonauts attended the ride for Alex Pretti at Paradise Garage. We love snow and hate ICE.

Frigid. Cryonauts biked to Happy Little Treats and Weinland Park before the winter storm hits.

0 for 2 on security for parking garages. A ride of rejection -- of dripping and dragging. Our first coffee shop closed early and our second choice was closed for a private event. Still, we went to the slingshot sculpture, took this sick pic, and went the furthest so far this season.

Plan B today. A ride out to Upper Cup where we met up with another of our group, then back to a couple favorite spots -- the koi pond at the Preston Centre and the forgotten train mural. Brassica fries were a good call. Until next time!

A much colder day than a few of us were expecting. A quick outing took us to Understory to warm up. Next week bring an article of clothing you'd like to bleach with the Cryodrome stencil.

12 miles around town took us to the library for our yearly tradition of seeing the holiday train. We also saw an interesting mural at Berry Boltworks, and we admired the koi at 4th and Broad.

The first ride of the 3rd season had our record number of riders (excluding the relay). Cryonauts braved the 44 degree day to a small corporate parking garage where we had our first interaction with security. After a brief talk with the powers that be, we made our way to a park for some light roast butane-heated coffee. Up the cobblestone hill and through the commons to our final stop, The Roosevelt. Thank you all for bearing with the growing pains of this current experimental iteration. A better ink pad will be obtained before the next ride. Hang on to your attendance booklets!
